Discover Business Card $50,000 Sweepstakes

The Discover Business card is running a $50,000 sweepstakes, until March 31st, where they will be giving away $50,000 to one lucky business. No second place consolation prizes or consolation gifts, no fancy rules about needing to spend it on your business or any other hoops to jump through, just one lucky person walking away with just one check for a sweet fifty large.

So, how do you get an entry? There are two ways and you can get get a maximum of two entries:

Apply for the Discover Business Card - if you do apply for the card, you can get another entry if you refer three other people (they need not apply). For sole proprietorships, your tax identification number is your social security number, so you’re a business if you sell stuff on eBay.
Mail in an entry request, you can get up to two entries this way.
So, the easiest way is to do the mail in - you don’t need to open a credit card and you don’t have to refer three people. What are the rules for mailing in an entry?

Hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, age, and “Discover® Business Card $50,000 Sweepstakes/Grand Prize Drawing Q1 07″ on a 3″x5″ piece of paper.
Mail it in a hand-addressed, stamped envelope to:

Royal Oak, MI 48068-8070
The entry must be postmarked by March 31st and they must get it by April 5th.
Now, what if you want the card? Well, you get a 0% on purchases for 12 months, 5% cashback on office supplies, 2% on gasoline, and up to 1% on the rest of your purchases. There are some other business perks such as free employee cards with customizable limits and monthly reporting. Lastly, like a lot of cards that I’m a fan of, it doesn’t have an annual fee and the rewards have no expiration. (Many of these reasons are why it makes a favorite business card amongst some of the bloggers I’ve talked to)
